CNC Machining

Langda utilizes modern CNC multi-axis milling and turning machine tools and state-of-the-art CAM software to achieve world-class efficiency and quality. We machine complex, close tolerance turbine engine components made from nickel, cobalt and stainless alloys and aluminum. Capabilities include 3-, 4- and 5-axis machining, with working envelope ranges up to 36 inches for prototype and production quantities.

CNC Milling

Langda's CNC milling machines have vertical and horizontal capabilities, facilitating the development and production of a wide variety of complex precision-machined parts. With two pallet shuttle systems, parts can be machined on one pallet while loading parts on the other pallet, thus reducing production time. The pallet changing system also provides the option of multi-operation workholding, resulting in lower setup times, which allows combining of operations to reduce handling and improve machine uptime. In addition, our machines are outfitted with 4- and 5-axis rotary indexing tables and dedicated fixtures on palletized tombstones, resulting in significant reduction in variation in production runs, improved quality and reduced costs. And recent equipment investments have added controls with faster code processing power to run larger high-speed dynamic machining programs for superior profile control and surface finish. Our in-house CNC milling equipment can handle parts up to 64″ x 32″ x 30″.

CNC Turning

Langda’s CNC turning machines are capable of producing parts with diameters from less than 1″ up to 36″. With comprehensive knowledge of aerospace alloys, our highly skilled CNC machinists can maintain process control and reduce scrap while achieving the most efficient cutting speeds. Our new turning centers feature rigid block holders and high-pressure (1,000 PSI) coolant capabilities which enable our machinists to achieve highly efficient roughing and finishing operations with extended tool life on the toughest aerospace materials. The turning centers are also fitted with digital servo-driven tailstocks and alternating spindle control software to increase rigidity and eliminate chatter. Several are capable of machining 3- and 4-axis with live tooling attachments to reduce the need for multiple setups, and they deliver optimum datum structure control which makes them ideal for prototype and new part developments. And for efficiency, our CNC turning centers are outfitted with KV tool holders that facilitate reduced setup times and quick tool changes.
